QIS is a family run international school based in the heart of the caplital city of Doha. As one of the oldest international schools in the city it has developed a strong reputation for offering a high quality education programme over many years.
The majority of QIS teachers are from the UK. The school's owners are British and it follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales. However the school does retain an international flavour with children and staff from surrounding Middle East countries, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and USA.
The schools offers a high quality education programme to children from the age of 3 - 18 years of age. It has excellent facilities and is very well resourced.
The school recruits teachers throughout the year but the main recruitment period is between February and April. The Head of school usually conducts interviews in London and Edinburgh in March and occasionally in Sydney also.
They offer a good salary package which includes a tax free salary and accommodation some of which is located on the school site itself. They also offer medical cover, transport allowance and a gratuity payment for each year of service.
TIC has recruited over 15 teachers for this school over the past two years. Most of these teachers are still at the school and many have renewed their contract.
We have visited the school twice and have been impressed on both occasions with the friendly atmosphere and happy teachers.
