Our Bristol seminar in October was a big success according to participant feedback.
95% said that they found the seminar to be "very informative". The seminar - an introduction to teaching in international schools - was attended by teachers who had travelled from all over the UK as well as from Bristol and Bath.
The seminar covered many aspects of teaching overseas and included videos and photos of schools and teachers. It covered different curricula used by the schools and compared salary packages.
Dr Mark Hensman from The Harrow International School of Bangkok gave a fascinating insight into life as a teacher at his school, as well as the other Harrow School in Beijing.
He explained many of the benefits of working with the Harrow schools that strongly supports the idea of the community; teachers at Harrow schools become part of a strong community that is very caring and promotes learning at every opportunity.
He explained how teachers at Harrow school work hard but enjoy a very comfortable lifestyle that can be immensely rewarding.
Dr Hensman also described his close relationship with Teachers International Consultancy, which will be handling much of the school's recruitment this year. |
