The Experts in International School recruitment

Choosing your first international school

It is very important to choose the right international school for you. There are so many different types to choose from with different clientele, educational philiosophy and curricula.

Some use the UK National Curriculum (or Australian or American programmes) and others follow international curricula such as the International Baccaluareate or International Primary Curriculum. There are international schools with over 3000 children and some with only 50.

In all these schools you can teach your subjects or age group just as you do now - in English - to children who are from expatriate families or wish to be educated in English.

Most of the international schools look and feel just like typical schools in London, New York  or Sydney but some have amazing facilities and most have much smaller class sizes.

There are many different kinds of schools and they all offer different working conditions and salary packages.

There is no such thing as the perfect international school. Very few schools in the world (national or international) can offer fantastic salaries, amazing working conditions, great facilities, small classes, incredible professional development as well as being situated in the country of your dreams. But many schools we work with come pretty close.

For a person looking into teaching overseas for the first time the range of choice and the differences in salary packages can be daunting and confusing. Most of the time you just need to know what questions to ask.

That's where we come in. After many years of working with international schools we know what to ask regarding the type of job or the salary and benefits packages.

We check the schools out carefully and visit many of them personally, and we check contracts.

We can help you find the right job for you and make sure it offers what you are looking for.
