To work in an international school you need to be suitably qualified.
Schools will only accept teachers with a relevant degree in teaching. A Bachelor of Education degree or Post Graduate Teaching Certificate or Diploma is often a minimum requirement.
Teaching English qualifications such as TEFL can be very useful additions but will not usually suffice on their own.
Many schools look for a minimum of two or three years' teaching experience, carried out in an English-medium school.
Newly qualified teachers can apply and do often get offered teaching opportunities, especially if they have prior experience of living or working abroad and /or have travelled widely.
